TV Remote is designed to work entirely on your device and your local network. We do not collect data, require account registration, or store personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number) on our servers.
The app may process the following data, but only on your device and within your home network:
- Local network information — used to discover and connect to TVs on the same Wi‑Fi network as your phone.
- TV pairing details (device name, IP address) — stored locally on your device so you can reconnect quickly next time.
- Saved quick-action shortcuts (favorite channels, inputs) — stored locally on your device.
- Anonymous technical diagnostic data (e.g., crash reports) if you opt in to share via the App Store.
2. Device permissions
TV Remote may request the following permissions to work fully:
- Local network access — required to discover and control TVs on your Wi‑Fi network.
- Bluetooth — optional, for TVs or accessories that pair over Bluetooth instead of Wi‑Fi.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
3. How we use data
All commands and connection data are processed locally to control your TV instantly. We do not use this data for advertising, behavioral analytics, or sell it to any third party.
4. Sharing data with third parties
TV Remote does not integrate any third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not share, rent, or sell user data to any organization.
5. Data storage & security
Your paired devices and quick-action shortcuts are stored locally on your device using standard iOS security mechanisms. If you delete the app, all of this data is permanently erased from your device.
6. Children's privacy
TV Remote is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us so we can address it.
7. Your rights
Because TV Remote does not store personal data on any server, you have full control over your data by removing paired devices in the app or uninstalling the app.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
